Becoming a Positive, Powerful, Confident Communicator

Course Overview

Do you ever feel as if no one is listening to you? Do you have a hard time finding the right words to state your point of view? Do you get talked into doing things that you don’t want to do? Do you know how to say no tactfully? Being confident and assertive means that you express yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view, while also respecting the rights of others. Agreeing to disagree tactfully.

Program Objectives

During this virtual program, women will learn:

  • reasons to step up including pushing back against gender bias, compensation inequity, and harassment.

  • ways to increase emotional intelligence.

  • the difference between being aggressive, assertive, or passive.

  • how to become a powerful, positive communicator and role model for others.

  • how to communicate with clarity and confidence.

  • strategies for eliminating weak language.

  • how to make a fabulous first impression.

  • how to handle challenging situations and difficult people.
